Richel Raich-Cantu is the senior director of talent development & innovation at IDEA Public Schools, a public charter district that serves over 88,000 students across four states. Richel received her masters degree in educational leadership & policy before beginning her career as a special education teacher at one of IDEA’s campuses in Mission, TX. IDEA launched its use of 360Learning as its Learning Management Software, internally dubbed "Roadmap," in the spring of 2020 and continues to utilize it to train and develop more than 12,000 employees. Richel is responsible for maintaining IDEA’s LMS including writing IDEA’s Asynchronous Design Criteria for Success, training over 160 subject matter experts as authors, and regularly auditing the quality of courses in the platform. Additionally, Richel is IDEA’s in-house rubric & change management expert, often leading the organization through major implementations. When she’s not working toward IDEA’s mission of college and career readiness for all, Richel spends her time reading novels and hiking & birding with her family.
