The speaker will draw on cutting-edge research to explore the Skill Code: Challenge, Complexity, and Connection. These are the work characteristics central to the expert-novice bond that drive successful skill development. He will also show how we inadvertently threaten the Skill Code in our quest for productivity from intelligent technologies at work and offer a specific path to making these technologies part of the skills and productivity solution.

In this session, you will::

  • Assess the health of skill development in a particular work context using the Skill Code.
  • Identify threats to skill development from automation via intelligent technologies.
  • Understand how to make intelligent technologies part of the skills solution.
